Privacy policy

This notice covers the KnownAtArrival interest list and email preferences. Product accounts and care records are outside its scope.

KnownAtArrival LLC is responsible for the interest list. We use Cloudflare for website hosting, a separate marketing database and requested verification emails. This notice covers marketing information, not product accounts or care records.

Information requested

Signup asks only for your email address and affirmative agreement to receive product and development updates. After verifying your mailbox, you can optionally add a first name and choose caregiver-beta notifications. Please do not enter health information, survivor names, injury history, dates of birth, documents or personal care stories.

Verification and saved choices

A requested email contains a private, single-use link that expires after 15 minutes. Opening it alone does not subscribe you, create a session or change preferences. Choosing Verify email confirms mailbox access. New signup consent is recorded at that verified action; an existing subscriber’s saved choices are not renewed by requesting or opening another link.

A verified mailbox session lasts 15 minutes. Optional first name and beta choices change only when you choose Save preferences. Unchecking general updates and saving withdraws local marketing consent. Checking general updates again and saving is an explicit request to resume; it does not override an unsubscribe independently recorded by Zoho.

You can request a private link from Manage email preferences without agreeing to subscribe. Requests receive the same general response whether or not an address is on the list. Joining does not create a product account, grant product access, submit a beta application or guarantee selection.

Storage and service providers

The first-party service keeps the minimum email, verification status, current preferences, revision and consent-event records needed to operate the list in a separate Cloudflare D1 marketing database. Consent events record the action, timing, notice version and relevant choices. Product care records and product access permissions are separate.

Verification tokens and mailbox-session secrets are stored as hashes. Raw link tokens are kept in request memory and the outgoing email, not in our database, application logs or browser storage. The verification page removes the token fragment from the address bar and sends it only after you explicitly choose Verify email. A short-lived secure session cookie supports preference changes. Treat these emails and links as private and do not forward them.

Cloudflare processes requested verification emails and delivery/security metadata. We do not intentionally log submitted email addresses, names, tokens, session secrets or complete message bodies. Cloudflare may still process IP addresses, browser information, timestamps and delivery or security logs as a service provider. Short-lived abuse controls use keyed identifiers rather than raw IP addresses.

Zoho Campaigns is configured for possible future product and development email updates. This website does not automatically transfer signup records to Zoho. Any future email audience must reflect current verified consent and preferences, and an unsubscribe recorded by the email provider remains an independent reason not to send.

Retention and your choices

The design expires verification links and mailbox sessions after 15 minutes and removes unverified signup stubs and short-lived email/IP abuse counters after 24 hours. Monthly service quota counters remain until the end of their month. Existing verified preferences and minimum consent or suppression records are retained separately from those temporary records.

We plan to review retained marketing information at least every 12 months and remove what is no longer needed. Annual review is not a promise that every record is deleted after one year. We preserve the minimum suppression information needed to honor an unsubscribe and prevent unwanted re-addition. Information may also remain temporarily in service-provider backups under their recovery and retention settings.

Product and development emails will include an unsubscribe option. You can also use our verified preference page to stop all KnownAtArrival marketing updates. Changing only the optional beta preference does not stop general updates. You may email us to unsubscribe or request access, correction or deletion. Unsubscribing does not automatically erase all consent, suppression, security or legally required records.

Tracking

We do not add advertising pixels, health-behavior tracking or a signup-form beacon to this website. We do not enable optional email open or click tracking. Verification and preference pages use no third-party scripts or analytics. Required verification, delivery, security and unsubscribe processing may still create records.
